Planter Boxes – From plant to kitchen
Gautengers, one of the things we have learnt in 2020 is our need for Planter Boxes. A few months ago we would have had a lesser view of them. But as we progress through time, it is evident to see that we are needing to learn to self-sustain. As a result, we can do this through planting our own food, seen as the future path to a longer-term sustainability.
Box planters are great for those of us who don’t have a lot of space to grow herbs and food items like a commercial farmer would (shout out to our Fresh Fam living in complexes!) These planter boxes have the great feature of being waist height. This makes it easier to tend to the garden without having to bend too low.
We get to plant seeds and watch them grow into beautiful plants we can enjoy. Alternatively, if you are more of the instant gratification type, you could invest in a few seedlings. These are smaller versions of plants that have been started and grown.
Plants to try: tomatoes, lettuce (say goodbye to soggy brown lettuce in a bag), rocket, chillies, spring onion, basil, coriander, strawberries.
*If you would like to try your hand at planting Mint, consider buying a smaller box for this guy. He doesn’t share his space well.
*This item is only available for delivery in the Gauteng region currently. Please email us for a separate quote if you stay outside of Gauteng.
*UV stabilised plastic and compost from Gardenscapers Nursery included with each purchase.
*We can also make these planter boxes to your own customized or individual needs.
